Active weather conditions are expected, starting 25th January until 29th January 2026. The Brunei Darussalam Meteorological Department in its press release stated that during the period, showers, occasionally heavy and thundery are expected to affect several areas of the country, with wind gust of up to 50 kilometres per hour during or near heavy and thundery showers.
Over Brunei waters, sea conditions are generally at moderate to rough state, with wave heights ranging between 1 to 3 metres. The public is advised to take precautionary actions with respect to the forecasted active weather condition. There is a high risk of flash floods especially in low-lying and flood prone areas, as well as near the river banks during periods of continuous heavy rain and also during high tide. Risk of landslide, fallen trees and blown off roofs are also possible during heavy showers and gusty condition. Sea conditions are dangerous to all small boat operations, sea recreational activities and sports. The Meteorological Department shall continue to monitor the weather conditions and will issue weather advisories or warnings if necessary.
